A few thoughtful habits help you enjoy your candle and look after its vessel. Always follow the safety label supplied with your particular candle.
Before lighting
Check that the vessel is sound and the wax is clear of loose debris. Trim the wick as instructed on the label while the candle is cool.
While your candle burns
Use a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and anything that can catch fire.
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it while it is hot.
Extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Burn time and uneven wax
Follow the maximum burn time and stopping point on your candle label. If it burns unevenly, let it cool and contact us for advice about your candle rather than overheating the vessel.
When the candle is finished
Let the vessel cool completely. Ask us whether it is suitable for a refill; suitability depends on its material, shape and condition.
